This past month I’ve been crossing a few things off the NYC Christmas Bucket List my roommates and I made after Thanksgiving. We’ve been skating in Central Park and drank eggnog outside the public library, but this past weekend was packed full of holiday outings. π First we went to Rockefeller Plaza to check out the huge tree. (Tip: Don’t go to the touristy holiday spots close to Christmas. They are SO PACKED.)
Hahaha. π
Park Avenue trees.
We then walked from 50th street down to the East Village and checked out Santacon. Santacon is a huge bar crawl where part of the proceeds from the participating bars go to charity. Wherever we walked there were tons of Santas, Christmas penguins, people dressed up as presents… everything. Turns out Santacon was a bit frattier than I anticipated, but it was still fun. π
This is what Adele dressed like for Santacon:
She called herself a holiday gnome, others called her a Santa on a bender.;)
We then left Santacon and went to a little party in Park Slope. (After walking through Grand Army Plaza. See the little gnome face in the corner? π
And then on Sunday a trek to “The Nutcracker” in Brooklyn. A pretty packed + exhausting weekend, but sometimes it’s really nice to have a few days full of cheerful activities. π I’ll try to top it when I’m back home in Indiana this weekend! <3
so fun seeing your adventures in the cold from my warm computer in san diego π have a merry christmas!
Seeing the Nutcracker is definitely at the top of my list for NYC!
