About a week ago, I made a bucket list for Christmassy things to do this year in New York. This past weekend, we crossed a couple of items off the list and had a cozy little time ice skating in Central Park. ๐
On our walk from home to the rink. ๐ Instead of going to the touristy spots to skate, (the spot in Southern Central Park, Bryant Park, or Rockefellar Plaza) we decided to skate up at the pool near Harlem. It was only $13 including skates *and* there was no line! I read that you can wait two hours at Bryant Park. Yikes!
Christmas tree island on the Harlem Meer.
And then back to the apartment for some White Russians. Technically this could cross off my “Make a new Christmassy cocktail” item on the bucket list, but I want to get a bit more adventurous. ๐
Homemade green curry. Sean’s an incredible cook.
And some peppermint tea to top off the night. A perfect end for a wonderful day. ๐
I've always wanted to skate in Central Park! What a marvelous time – thanks for sharing so I can live vicariously through you ๐
Ah this looks fantastic! Your pictures are so pretty. But I think you should tell Sean that he was supposed to wear black pants for this outing to match all the lovely ladies. ๐
So cozy! I love how Sean is always outnumbered by pretty ladiesโlucky guy!
Yum! That dinner with curry looks so swell and cozy. Your winter in NY is a dream! Makes me so nostalgic for my childhood in NYC.
awhh! Thank you! I bet you have such cool (and crazy!) memories of growing up here!! ๐
