Over the past couple weeks my roommates and I have been tackling a few things off of the NYC Christmas bucket list I made. Two weekends ago we went ice skating in Central Park and last weekend Adele and I drank the most Christmassy drinks outside of the NY Public Library. The original plan was to drink eggnog in the library, but when I started to think about what exactly that would entail… Probably a flask full of eggnog… And then the problems cleaning said flask… And the fact that the eggnog would be warm and perhaps curdled… Eek. I decided that it would probably be better to drink an eggnog latte outside the library. Plus, it crossed off two items off the list! 🙂 (Drink Starbucks’ most Christmassy drink + eggnog in the library.)
I’ve walked by the library so many times in the past, but I’ve never gone in. The library is right in the middle of the city next to Bryant Park. This summer, Sean spent a bit of time there studying for the MCAT, but I’ve never had a test like that. (Thank goodness.) 🙂
The inside of the library is pretty magical. It smells like old paper, your footsteps echo from all the stone floors, and everyone is busy at all the tables and in all the nooks and crannies.
A pretty good NYC Christmas outing. 🙂

What a great idea to make a list of all the fun things you want to do, I don't really understand drinking eggnog in the library but maybe it doesn't work cross culturally, we don't have eggnog here at all apart from those starbucks lattes
