I spent most of my kid life in battle with my hair. It never set the same way twice and I couldn’t, for the life of me, get my hair to look like all the other cute little 6th grade girls with their stick straight locks. It also didn’t help that I had BANGS which is about the worst thing to have as a curly-headed girl with no curly-hair-taming tricks. And don’t even get me started on my preteen nemesis: HUMIDITY.
It’s been a few years since I went out in public looking like I stuck my finger in a light socket and I’m up to about 50%-50% on good hair days vs. bad hair days. π (Humidity and I are on more civil terms these days as well. ;)) I thought I’d share a few tips (and a video!) to help all my curly-haired girls out there… here’s to good hair days and banishing straighteners. π
Additional Tips:
-I know it looks like quite a process, (because it is…) but I want to point out that I only wash my hair twice a week… and I only have to do this routine twice. It all evens out in the end in terms of time and I probably spend the same amount as the straight-locked gals. Most days I can just wake up, tousle my hair a bit, and I’m ready to go. I’ve found that my hair and the products behave best on day 2 or 3 anyways. π Also, it is healthier to wash your hair less.
-As for the hair products themselves, I don’t use anything fancy. (I do put overnight conditioner in my hair after I’ve washed it to help hold in some moisture.) I usually use Suave for mousse… or something a couple dollars more if I’m feeling rich. π I use Tresseme gel, Aussie “Sprunch” for volume, and I love, love, love the Aussie “Aussome Volume” hairspray for toning the curls. I also take “Hair and Nail” vitamins when I remember. Ha.
-With curly hair, product is your friend, my friends.
Hope these tips help! Any questions, just drop a comment. π You can also see another hair tutorial I made, how to do DIY feather hair extensions!
HAPPY FRIDAY!
PS– Project 365 post coming tomorrow sometime. I was too excited about video-makin’ to post it today. π
When I was in Alabama, humidity was my FRIEND!!
My hair's only curly on the bottom, but when I was down there, the 100 degree heat and 100 percent humidity actually made my hair look awesome, and all I had to do was use a little spray gel and let it air dry. I kinda miss those days……….

Girl…that is insane. As much as I totally looooove your hair, I do not envy your process to get there! Wow! Also, the hair pieces part was hilarious π Awesome video!!!
(I have to admit that I was hoping you were going to talk…so I could hear your voice! π π miss ya!)

your hair is super cute! i'm impressed with the amount of work you put into it!! i have to wash my hair everyday (i have a different curly texture – my hair is pretty fine and gets oily and gross if i don't wash every day). i lightly towel dry mine (with a microfiber towel – less frizz, they say) then use a little bit of redken's fresh curls curl definer then redken's soft spin… lightly scrunch that in and then try not to touch it for at least 20 mins, then dry with diffuser… then use garnier's surf hair to set the curls. isn't it great when you finally get your hair down to a science?? like you, i spent many years not knowing what to do with it but now i looove my curly hair!! my favorite way to wear it is in cute little pigtails. almost 30 and still love to rock the pigtails π

Oh my goodness. Yes. Yes. YES. Product is our friend. It's so hard to keep curls looking cute and controlled.
I also like Suave's dry shampoo at the roots.
How on earth do you get away with only two shampoos a week? I'd love to be able to do that, to save more poor scalp. However, whenever I try, I sleep on my curls with product in them and they get ridiculously tangled.
My current regime is more like this: 1) shower (use lots of conditioner), 2) make a towel turban and wear without fluffing in hair for about 10 minutes, 3) take the towel off, wait a few minutes to air dry, add some Brazilian Blowout styling cream (no, I haven't had it done, but the cream ROCKS), 4) fluff and scrunch, 5) light hair spray. And done.
Your curls are super fabulous, though!

The first time I saw a picture of you I was instantly jealous of your hair! I have straight hair, and have always wished to have curly locks. Now to know the process that goes with it, I am even more impressed by your lovely bouncy curls! Too cute!

Mousse is sooooo bad for curly hair though! The alcohol in it dries your hair right out! Try scrunching the excess water out with a microfiber towel and then use a small amount of conditioner (about the size of a dime) and scrunch your hair with it and then just let it air dry or blow dry with a diffuser.

Goodnessss I wish I had the patience to do all of that. My hair is only ringlet-y underneath and by my ears, the rest of my hair by the bottom is kind of wavy/kinky, and the top is just lame. I've been using Bumble + Bumble Sea Spray (I think) and it gets everything looking good, but my roots. Damn the roots!

thank you for all the tips! I was that straight haired 6th grader but my youngest daughter was born bald. Now she's three, the hair came in, and it's ALL CURLS. Bright red curls, I had no idea how to even deal with it. I actually tried brushing it once. Thanks again for the tips!

Thanks for the tips and comments, guys! @Nicole I didn't know mousse was so terrible for your hair, thanks for the tip! Unfortunately letting my hair air dry with just a bit of conditioner will not do the trick for me…. π I try and use leave-in conditioner and nighttime repair cream to combat any dryness I am causing with the hairspray and mousse.
@Stephchows: I work out almost every day too! I run 5 days a week– most of the time during lunch at work. Now that it is cooler out I don't sweat as much and I don't have to wash my hair as often, but I do have to wash my hair more in the summer. :/ Whenever I do run, though, I leave it up for the messy curly bun as well. π
I get about the same look as you–but I don't use gel, hairspray, curling iron or spray! Just mousse, and a diffuser. You have WAY more patience than I ever could! Quite lovely, and the bun is so cute.

I too just do mousse and a diffuser. A little hairspray at the end.

My grandmother used to brush my hair (only one in the family with curly hair) and I suffered with the resulting jewfro miserably. Finally, at 10, I went short. Surprise surprise, 25 years later, I grew my hair out only to discover its curly! Ringlet curly!
There's no doubt the routine is everything. Mine is conditioner only (unless something crazy happens), thorough rinsing in shower, blot gently, finger-comb, leave-in conditioner, then a curl balm. Several scrunches before either turby or clipped up til I leave.

Okay, FYI, your process is WAY more involved than I spend and My hair is just as curly. I find the BEST method for my hair is to begin w/ it dripping out of the shower. comb it w/ a wide tooth comb and THEN scrunch dry it w/ a dry washcloth. From there I add in three styling products. Biosilk Silk Therapy for frizz. Noodle Head (@Sally's) and Aussie Sprunch. After diffusing, I use the Aussie Aussome Volume for finishing….Aussie products ROCK! I totally agree on that part. π Though, I don't know how you can get away w/ only washing it twice/week. My hair looks all smooshed and tangled after one night's sleep. So, for me day 2 is a ponytail and I end up washing every other day.

I know it's not nice to copy but I'm one of those curly haired girls that can never fix it right so I tried your process but I don't have the right haircut for it — mine is growing out of a bob (I cut it like that to straighten it). Anyway I need a haircut so could you please tell me what kind of haircut you have so I can give this a try? I think your hairdos are beautiful :). And I can get away with washing once to twice a week when I straighten so it might work for me!

Haha! @JustMeD!– my haircut isn't anything fancy. I just get it layered… One of my favorite haircuts though was when I just got the base layered and it was more of a straight cut… This was when my hair fell below my ears. A straight cut with my hair shorter than my ears would make me look like a Christmas tree. :/
Hope this helps! π
I will try asking for layers it seems every time I ask for a certain cut it rarely turns out :). Thanks!

This post has changed my changed my life! haha I have such a hard time styling my curly hair…you are tempting me to cut it short (right now its an inch or so below my bra strap) i love it long but my curls don't turn out so well with the added weight… I want to embrace my curls as you have! Beautiful!

to get the best curls, twirl the natural pieces of hair once or twice while still very wet. It helps them hold together and you don't have to use as much product. It also helps the style last for days. I can make a video and send if you need. A curly haired stylist showed me how to do it and it changed my LIFE.

Deva Curl. Thats all I use these days. I have lived in humid hell as well as high desert and Deva Curl is my saving grace. No Poo Shampoo, the Conditioner, AnGel gel and Set it Right spray. (Oh and i wash it as often as I like.)I do use the twirl/twist technique as well. It is the first time in my curly hair life that i am not using leave in conditioner, ridiculous amounts of gel, and smoothing serums to keep it under control. I actually have curly hair that you can run your fingers through, and it moves and is soft to the touch and everything! I air dry most days but I get super curl with the diffuser too. I pick up the whole product line at Ulta. It isn't cheap but I actually spend less then before because I use so little of the products. Also, on the hair cut front… layers are a curly girls best friend- helps me avoid the dreaded tent head. I was always scared of them but found over the years the more weight I take out of my hair, even though it is pretty fine, the happier and well behaved my hair is.

Thanks for the Deva Curl tips and all of the info about alcohol-free products! I need to head to Ulta to check these out. Thank you!!!
I start from drippy wet with leave-in conditioner and spray gel. I don't ever heat style. I hand scrunch twice or three times as it dries, gently so as to not break up ringlets.

I love this. I am always looking for new ways to style my short curly hair. Despite the fact that our kind of hair pretty much does something different every time you style it, I get so bored with it! Glad to see others rocking the curly version of bangs as well.

I've got the same hair as yours, and my process is pretty much the same! I'm so glad to hear that your hair also look better after 2 or 3 days washing them. I'm finally understood! : P
Kidding appart, I agree, it looks quite exaustif but I promess you girls, it is really not that big of a deal!
(Sorry for my written english, french is my current langage! hihi)

I'm surprised as how many products you apply! I have curly hair and all I do is get leave-in on soaking we hair, smooth, rake and scrunch and then scrunch in gel and that's it!
Love the look with the accesories btw!

for the poster who said that she can't wear her curls on day2 because they get tangled when she sleeps, try put your hair in a high ponytail on the very top of your head using a fabric covered scrunchie. Yeah I said it….scrunchie. At first I thought “well this will keep it from getting tangled, but won't it straighten out my hair from the roots to the scrunchie?” NOPE, works like a charm. In fact, I like my curls better when I sleep like this because when I pull the scrunchie out in the morning I have much more height and volume at the roots and crown (where my hair usually goes flat first). Try it…it works.

Love it!!!! I'm FINALLY getting my hair cut tomorrow (it's been almost a year) my hair is almost down to my bra strap & practically stick straight but I swear I had natural beach wavy hair up until a few yrs ago. I was teased as a kid & called shirley temple so I've always feared short hair but seeing you rock your curls, I'm thinking of getting a short hair cut to see if I can get my curls back. WTH, it can always grow out, right??

WTH, it can always grow out, right??
I've heard of DevaCurl– Thanks so much for the tips!Β
Ooo! This is such a good tip! Thank you so much. πΒ
Phew- that's way too much stuff! Β The most important thing to styling curly hair is having a good hair cut by someone who knows how to work with curly hair! Β Use moisture-rich shampoo and conditioner and a good styling product (serum is usually my fave since it doesn't leave me "crunchy"). Β Use a diffuser and scrunch while you dry. Β It only takes me about 10 minutes to completely style my hair. Β My favorite products are Ouidad and DevaCurl!
I had the great fortune of being in NYC and stopping by Ouidad's salon and she was THERE! I was there 2 hours, she cut it and styled it and gave me an education in curly hair. It was the best $400 I've ever spent! She said curly hair should be cut only 1-2 times per year and NEVER thinned or razored. The less you can do to it..even down to TOUCHING it is best! Very little product is best and if it's a good product you will not need much. Ouidad's Climate Control and Curl Quencher are all I use to get great tousled locks that look like i've just walked out the salon. It's magic! π Love your hair! Beautiful!
that was adorable. With confidence, you can rock any look π
I love the video! And I agree with Aly, you seem to have so much confidence you can totally rock any look. I was just wondering what products you use? I am always searching for the perfect products for my curly hair. What I use one week, usually doesn't work the next. I am struggling to find that one product that I can use more than once or twice. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
hey! so i have super long extremely curly hair. think ringlets all over my head. lol(: but i have a much faster version if you'd like to try! i also don't wash my hair more than twice a week and deep condition once a week, but i wet my hair every day in the shower and condition it then towel dry and while its damp put herbal essences moouse and gel through the whole thing and spray a super extra hold hairspray (i use rave) on the top and bottom. then let it dry on its own and scrunch it to remove any crunchiness and fluff a tad to get the volume you want. it takes up to 5 minutes at the most and it looks super good. if you want super defined shiny curls don't scrunch or fluff as much.
love your video i have natural curly hair and i never know what to do with it. Thanks
The best products I've found for my natural spirals is Spiral Solutions. Soft, defined curls w/ no crunch. Curl enhancing Jelly followed by their gel, blow dry w/ a diffuser where the hair sits inside the diffuser, start drying while standing up, finish upside down. Perfection.
I have very curly long hair that I get compliments all day every day. I have hair modeled for a few years and am a hairstylist. My curl is soft and never crunchy. That was way way way too much so here is a few pointers on something better.
1. never ever under any circumstances touch mousse to your curls!
2. good hair days start with health and great foundation. Invest in good shampoo and conditioner. Doesn't have to be a fortune, but if you want your hair to look good, you have to nourish it properly. A heavy conditioner does wonders for curly hair. Properly conditioned and moisturized curls are not frizzy! I personally use Aveda Smooth Infusion shampoo (to soften the cuticle) and Aveda Damage Remedy conditioner (super heavy but wont weigh down your curl and nutrient rich). Let conditioner sit on your hair while you're in the shower.
3. do not dry your hair with a towel, the fibers in the towel rough up the cuticle of the hair making it frizzy, instead use an old tshirt.
4. brush your hair only when wet, wide tooth comb works the best.
5. use a light CREAM based product. This won't give you the crunchy, still-wet-even-though-my-hair-has-been-dry-for-2-days look. Living Proof Nourishing Styling Cream works amazingly. For long hair, part your hair into 2 sections, squirt some styling cream in your hands and work through layer by layer on one side, then repeat on the other side. finger comb this through to apply it, don't brush after. After I focus just a tad more on my ends since that is the dryest part, then kind of "ruffle" it up a bit. I spray in Aveda Pure Abundance Style Prep after this, just a little, gives the curl more to hold on to.
6. The worst part is… no blow drying. Thats when the curl really loses shape, gets frizzy and looks like you have been electrocuted. Since I have so much hair, I wash my hair at night, usually 2 hours or so before bed and its still wet. Sooo to sleep I pile it all up on top of my head and put in a semi loose pony tail, dont slick it back. the next morning when you take out your pony it has tons of volume at the roots from being up and the curl is soft and pretty.
7. On the few less perfect curls, go over with a curling iron.
8. I dont use hairspray. Once it is completely dry I do use Aveda Anti Humectant just on my ends to lock the moisture in.
Sounds like a lot but really its a 3 minute process, besides the air drying part. I'm not kidding, do this and you will thank me eternally π
I have veryyy curly hair, and it stays super soft and no frizz! Avoid using ALL of those products by getting yourself some moroccan oil. Seriously! I have good hair days every single day now, where as I used to put a ton of mousse in my hair and hope for the best. I only wash my hair at night. Scrunch the oil into my hair, and when I wake up, I have frizzless soft locks π Try it for a week and be amazed at how your hair changes. I agree with another comment about not using towels to dry your hair. When I get out of the shower, I wrap my head in an oversized tshirt. This really eliminates frizz! And under no circumstance ever do I raise a blow dryer to my head. I don't own a brush. I have a thick comb that I use ONLY in the shower with my hair gobbed with conditioner. Ditch all this stuff and grab some moisturizing oil, I promise you'll thank me!
I have similar hair, although it's a little longer. I'm sure you will think I've gone off my rocker, but my hair routine is simple and short. 1c water with 1T. baking soda. Squirt through my hair. Rinse. 1c water with 1-2 T Cider Vinegar. Squirt through my hair. Rinse. Allow to air dry. I agree that the most crucial thing is getting your hair cut by someone who knows what they're doing. On a rare occasion I will do a deep condition with olive oil and an egg yolk. Honestly, nothing else has worked long term with my super curly hair.
I love Deva products and my Deva stylist. I often wonder how I survived all those years without them!
I don't know about cutting it 1-2 times per year???? but I do believe that Quidad's Climate Control is amazing. I have to cut my every 4 weeks out it starts to look frizzy! Not a good look for curly hair.
oh my word. you and i are practically the same person. i LOVE IT!
can you post a few more videos of some different styles for short curly hair? i'm having a nightmare with my length of hair now and i don't want to cut it again because i miss my long, luxurious curly hair…. please help!!
I do not dry my hair at all. I get out of the shower and drape a towel over my shoulders. I comb it and then add Herbal Essence gel (set me up). After my hair is covered in the gel I then use Herbal Essence Spray Gel and scrunch and blow dry with diffuser. Then I use hairspray and dry again. At night I put my hair on top of my head in a loose bun type thing and only have to wash every 4 days. Love it. Thanks for your blog! And for those who are against blow drying: My hair is long. Past my bra line curly and at least 6 inches more straight. If I do not blow dry my hair it is so heavy it cannot curl. The more I dry the more it curls. Couldn't part with a hair dryer!!!!
So, I have super curly hair. It is the thicker than wool socks ;D
What I do, Is I shower and brush out my hair in the shower then I put in my conditioner and let it sit. When It is all finished I dry it with an old T shirt and I part it into two parts. I put in Frizz Eliminator and blue magic. Then I put it in a bun on the top of my hair. When I wake up I spray Moroccan oil in it and BAM! Good looking curls.
Yeah no. My hair is curlier than this girls and about 100x more thick and I do NOT have to go through this process. My hair is also quite a bit longer. I don't wash the conditioner out of my hair and I only use shampoo every other day-that's how dry it is. Then I use John Frieda Frizz-Ease serum (it's pricey but SO worth it). I usually let it air dry, but if I am short on time, I'll take a blow dryer to it. Also, like the girl below me said do NOT brush. I have a widetooth comb that I only use when my hair is good and wet.
I'm always amazed by the way people talk about others online. It's sad. WHat works for one person doesn't always work for others. My hair process is very similar to yours and people comment on myhair often. I was just wondering if you could tell me how you sleep in your hair so it doesn't look insane the next day And what you do to pep it up in the mornings!
Where would I get some Moroccan Oil?
Sephora has many different brands at various scales of prices.
Agree with everything you said and it took me 30 years to learn it! I use Aveda's curl product line and find it fantastic as well.
Ahh curly hair, our friend and our foe. I know this video is about a year old and I'm guessing you've maybe tried out some of the fabulous suggestions from the comments. If you don't mind, I'd like to offer my two (curly) cents.
In my opinion, it looks like there is too much touching and drying happening and that's why you're having to apply a gel and use a curling iron afterwards. Curly hair doesn't like to be touched, hence it's rebellion towards us. And in my experience, curly hair responds better to product when hair is really wet. Here is my curly routine…
I co-wash, meaning, I use conditioner to "wash" my hair. I leave the conditioner on and clip up my hair for the duration of my shower. If I start to notice some buildup, say in a weeks time, I will use a curly hair cleanser without sulfates and parabens and without all the other nasty stuff. At the moment, I'm using Jessicurl Moisturizing Hair Cleanser.
At the end of my shower I rinse my hair well, twist out the excess water, and then the styling begins…in the shower. I have all my products in the shower with me except for hairspray. I begin with a nickle size of Carol's Daughter Hair Milk, a little goes a long way. I apply that to the lower half and bottom of my hair.
Next I part my hair down the middle and apply Curls Curl Booster Gel, it can be found at Target and Sally Beauty Supply. It's also free of sulfates, parabens, silicones, mineral oil… I apply this liberally because it almost feels like nothing is going onto the hair and then later I always tell myself I don't need to use so much, hehe.
Then I scrunch with my head upside down. If it's still super wet, I will dab the hair with a microfiber towel or one of my husbands old white t-shirts. I also wear one while I'm waiting for my hair to dry because once I'm done with my hair, off goes the wet t-shirt for my clean, dry shirt π
Finally, I spritz with Tresemme hairspray and diffuse a little bit. I don't diffuse my hair until it's dry because then frizz starts. I dry only to about 60-70% dry and let it air dry the rest of the way.
I am left with great curly hair, sometimes lasting up to 3 days.
I hope you or someone will consider giving my curly routine a go, take care!

I've always love my curly hair so i started my own blog where I talked about it http://curlyhairspot.com/. I also wash my hair only twice a week and each time i use a nice conditioner which I let act for 30 minutes.
Good luck finding someone who knows how to cut curly hair. I have never had success. I cut my own now.
Hi, I saw your demonstration, read the comments and felt compelled to write my own. I have truly curly hair with medium sized tight spiral ringlets. The main reason I wanted to comment is because I know how frustrating it can be to have curly hair, but once you find out how to style it you learn how to truly appreciate it. It took me several years to learn how to style my hair but now that I have I find that other people with curly hair are always coming up to me wanting to know how I got my hair to look the way it does. Here are my suggestions.
* A good shampoo and conditioner free of sulfates and waxes go a long way, with at good conditioner you use way less then with a bad one.
*Brush your hair in the shower, I sometimes just just my fingers.
*Before you get out of the shower in a scrunching motion get out as much water from your hair as you can. I do not let any cloth touch my wet hair. This will also help to form curls with out over drying them.
* A good frizz control cream or gel is important to tame to keep frizz to a minimum.
*Next I use mousse it gives you control with out the crunch of gel. My curls are always smooth and light never weighted down. Make sure to get mousse on all parts of your hair.
*Now your hair is pretty wet still you can let it air dry, I like to use a diffuser. Make sure that your blow dryer is one the lowest setting this is the best way to simulate air drying. The key to using a diffuser is to not touch your hair while you are using it. If you truly have curly hair your hair will naturally curl perfectly without you touching it. Touching creates frizz. Dry your hair upside down alternating from either side and to the front. You can dry it a little or all the way. I like to let is try part way and then the rest on its own.
* Finish it off with a little hairspray.
I know that everyone has their own way of doing things and that there are many different type of curly hair, but this is one way of styling curly hair that works for may different types.Everyone that has asked me how I do my hair and has tried it has come back to me saying how much it has changed the way they view their hair. This is a really simple way to style curly hair, it creates the prefect amount of volume and curl definition.
I hope that you at least give this a try.
I've always love my hair and makeup tutorial. I talked about it in http://www.enigmashairstudio.com/videos/makeover/. I hope you also enjoy our video tutorial
I know this is an old post/video and what I'm going to say is redundant, but…this process is ridiculous. My hair is a lot curlier and VERY thick. (Several stylists have told me they have never worked with hair as thick as mine. I've also been asked to volunteer my hair at cosmetology school so students could practice. Uh…no. Sorry, students!) Anyway…
What others have said is true: the best cut for YOUR hair (this may take some experimenting); good shampoo & moisturizing conditioner; NO rubbing with a cotton towel (scrunch with microfiber towel to remove excess water), mousse, gel, blow-drying or touching curls until fully dry. The best products I have found to control frizz are BioSilk and Herbal Essences SET ME UP #2 (medium). If you absolutely must blow-dry, use Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine leave-in cream on wet hair. Blow with a difuser until almost dry, scrunch in BioSilk and then finish with the hairspray. You will have frizz, but the hairspray will help calm it down a little.
Wow! Not to sound rude, but I'm so glad I saw your video, because now I'm grateful for my hair! It's always been crazy curly (my straight-haired sisters called me "pubic head" growing up), but to see all the things you have to put in your hair makes me feel like I lucked out! Not that your hair isn't beautiful, just unruly. I only use like a handful of mousse, let it dry, then scrunch to get rid of the crunch.
i realize that the last comment is from a year ago, but if youve never tried it, i would recommend looking up the curly girl method! You use shampoo without sulfates (or no shampoo at all..i use baking soda mixed with water) and the same for conditioner. I also think a really important part is using an alcohol free gel and not touching your hair while it's drying, and using a cotton t-shirt or something else besides a towel to scrunch water out of your hair so you arent breaking it. It might take a couple weeks for your hair to get used to this, especially if it's used to a lot of product, but youll be so happy after with how frizz-less your hair is and how much less time and product you need!
You could read the Curly Girl by Lorraine Massey. She's a stylist who is an expert in treating curly hair. Some of the basic principles are not to use shampoo with sulfates and silicones, only style hair while it's wet, trying that after it's dry will create frizz," scrunch" the curls dry with a microfiber towel. It's a process; one that works once you start it and stick to it. You can have lots more better hair days and spend less time on the styling process. You have to play around with the process a bit to make it work for your lifestyle, but I do follow her basics. The one I do differently is to use a wide tooth comb while my hair has the conditioner in it because it's so thick that it takes a long time to try and comb through it with my fingers. I have a friend who just uses her fingers and that works great for her.
Here's a link to her website, to introduce you:

You can buy her products at Ulta or use others as long as you look for the proper ingredients. I use Burts Bees because it 's less expensive.
Here's a video basics by her:

This one of her first (and humorous) videos about curly hair:
Hi! I have a similar hair type and my hair is getting VERY long. I am looking to cut it soon and I'm not sure how to explain to a stylist how to get my hair like yours. How would I describe the cut I want to a stylist for a haircut like yours in this video?
Your hair was PERFECT before you started styling! :o)
this is best hair style site and best video in these site.
I agree, curly hair style is best hair style.
Duane Reade sells a huge blue bottle for around $15 (it's called Argan Oil… Moroccan oil is the brand name.) It really is a great tool for a curly girl's arsenal!
These comments are so helpful! Where have you all been all my life?! My problem is that my hair has become quite thin. How do you style THIN curly hair?
It doesn't work if you have truly frizzy/curly hair. I recommend finding a friend who has some and testing it out on yourself before you invest in the morrocan oil fad.
I agree, it doesn't work on my ethnic curly hair. I use coconut oil, drench my hair in it while it's dry and put a shower cap on it for a couple hours. Works great!

i always would wash, while wet spray in Infusium hair treatment , quiet a bit and scrunch with hands and let air dry and the curls would be so soft.
