One year ago, on my birthday, my friend Emily gave me this incredible photo display that she made from a vintage window. Since I’m a huge fan of upcycled projects, (Who am I kidding– I am a fan of all projects. ;)) I decided to post her gift here with instructions on how she made it.
What you need:
-Vintage window (Check garage sales, flea markets, old barns… You can also use photo frames from a thrift shop.)
-Chicken wire
-Spray paint
-Tacks
-Clothes pins (To hold pictures to chicken wire.)
-Hammer and something to clip the chicken wire
First you need to get your chicken wire and cut it to the size of your window. Pliers or wire clippers would work for this. Then you take your tacks and hammer the chicken wire into place around the window frame. After you’ve secured the chicken wire, give your photo display a few coats of spray paint. And that’s it!
I used these baby clothes pins to hold all of the doodads in place. You can find the little clothes pins at Walmart and Target, or here.
