A few weeks back, I was in this little thrift shop in Williamsburg when I found this huge bin of doilies and lace tablecloths. I’d been looking for a doily for a while to make into a bib necklace and I finally found one after a bit of digging.
To make the doily necklace you need:
-A doily
-Dye (Optional.) I used a tiny bit of tie-dye dye.
-Leather/Ribbon to tie it
-Bias tape/ribbon to stitch the backing in place
The first thing I did was cut the doily in half and then dyed it with the tie-dye dye. After that was all done, I folded the doily over a bit and I stitched a bit of bias tape on the back to keep everything in place. Then I stitched strips of leather to tie the necklace.
good job.. i love it :))
