A couple weekends ago, Sean and I took a little driving trip with some friends to get out of the city. We went to Montauk, the little town on the easternmost tip of Long Island. While the Long Island Railroad goes out to Montauk, if you’re thinking of taking a little trip there, I’d recommend a car so that you can get out to all of the parks on Montauk Point.
My favorite part was walking around the tip of the island and checking out the lighthouse, the rock beaches, and the mud cliffs.
There was lots of beach hiking, exploring, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind quoting.
“Took a train out to Montauk. I don’t know why. I’m not an impulsive person. I guess I just woke up in a funk this morning.” –Joel
And waking up and walking to the chilly beach the next morning wasn’t so bad at all. 🙂
Check out more of our little out-of-city treks– like the trip to Sleepy Hollow and Beacon, NY. ♥
Ever since Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and their night picnic, I have wanted to go to Montauk! Great shots!
This place looks gorgeous! I would love to visit someday. Happy Friday! xx. McKenna Lou
